School News

Open Enrollment - December 2, 2025 - January 9, 2026 - This is for families not currently enrolled at JA, or if you have an incoming preschool or kindergarten student for the 2026-2027 school year you must submit an application.  Applications must be submitted in EnrollJeffco beginning December 2.  Please share this information with neighbors, family and friends that may be interested in attending JA. You do not need to submit an application for students currently attending JA. 6th grade students will automatically be enrolled at JA Secondary.

Current families have received an email from Jefferson County Schools to login to EnrollJeffco and confirm that they are returning to JA or have the option to apply to other schools. All students will be automatically enrolled into JA next year, unless we are notified by the family or another school that the student is transferring.

Lost & Found - Please check both areas for students’ belongings.  All unclaimed items will be donated during the holiday break.

Karate - Late Start Wednesday Mornings - Synergy Martial Arts - Get the day started off on the right foot!  Karate Club helps your child to develop self-defense and strong character through martial arts related skills, drills and games.

Head karate instructor Scott Pedersen will be teaching four early morning ‘Karate Club’ sessions (Feb 4th, March 4th, April 1st, and May 6th) from 8:45-9:45 am in the Primary Gym, for 1st through 6th grades.  The cost is $20/session and all proceeds are being donated to Jefferson Academy Clubs. Today, screens and sedentary habits often dominate too many children's lives. Karate is a dynamic and engaging alternative; improving balance, coordination and fitness. In addition to energetic activities, Karate Club also reinforces life skills such as focus, discipline and respect for others.  Given time, the training will also build self confidence and the very vital ‘belief-in-self’ for each child.
