PTO News
Thank you for an AMAZING Year! - The JA PTO is incredibly grateful for ALL of the support we received this year, which allowed us to accomplish many things. And all of it is because of you - the PTO members and our entire school community. Want to see what you've achieved? Take a look at our Year In Review posted to our website at www.japto.info Thank you so very much for your time, your talent and your treasure to make it all happen for our students, teachers & staff and our entire JA Community.
PTO Committee Leads Needed - In order to make all of this happen, your PTO Board relies on a group of dedicated Committee Leads to work in tandem with the Board to organize and carry out our events and fundraisers. Without this group of people, we would not be able to accomplish all the things we do. If you are thinking about getting more involved in your child's school, this is your chance. We have a need to fill several Committee Lead Positions:
Boosterthon Fun Run - We are looking to expand this into a committee to include: Overall Event Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, T-Shirts Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator (this would be a great opportunity for a group of friends!)
Community Social Dine Outs Lead - Organize and promote Monthly Restaurant Dine-Out Fundraisers
Family Movie Nights - Organize 2-3 movie nights for students & families throughout the year
Mileage Club Co-Lead - Organize weekly running dates & recruit volunteers to assist (Mileage Club will reduce to only ONE day per week in 2025-26 without a co-lead!)
Outdoor Lab Fundraising - Class of 2033 Parents (Current 4th Graders) - Organize fundraising efforts to help offset costs for students to attend Outdoor Lab when they enter 6th grade.
Timehop - Organize the annual Spring JAE Community Event (this could be several people!)
Opportunities are always available for people to assist - if you have an interest in these, or any of PTO's many committees, (or you have ideas for things PTO could add) please fill out the Committee Lead Interest Form. Our board will be in touch soon!
School Supplies for 2025-2026 School Year - It's time to pre-order your students' school supplies for next year! We have partnered with a company that will put together all of the supplies that your student's teacher has requested. Supplies will be delivered to the school in August and taken to your student's classroom before the first day of school. Please order for your student’s grade level that they will be entering next year. JA earns $5 on each box. Here is the link. For questions contact Rebecca Brinkey at schooltoolboxes@japto.info. The order deadline is Wednesday, May 21, 2025. (this was stated incorrectly in the previous Friday note.)
Report Your Volunteer Hours - It's never too late! Be sure to report your outside-of-school volunteer hours. Any time spent volunteering for Jefferson Academy Elementary while not on campus can (and should) be reported using this simple Volunteer Hours Reporting Form. Time contributed while on campus is recorded in the RAPTOR system at school - this form is only for time spent outside of school. Your volunteer time matters! Support JA's strategic plan by reporting your hours!
