Field Day 3rd - 6th grade - Friday, May 2. 5th & 6th grade will participate from 8:30-10:45 a.m. 3rd & 4th grade will participate from 12:30-2:45 p.m. This is a full day of school for all students. Spectators are welcome.
Band - 2025-2026 School year - This is for students going into 4th, 5th, & 6th grade. As we near the end of the school year, the door for any students interested in joining our band program next fall is open. If your student did not participate in band as a 4th or 5th grader, and may be interested in joining next year, your student must attend the instrument informational meeting on May 6th. Please note, students taking band this coming school year, will be taking technology but will not be scheduled for CKC. Sign up using this link HERE.
Assessment Days - Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9 - Students will only attend one of the following sessions: Thursday morning from 8:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday afternoon session from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. or Friday from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Lunch will not be served. Teachers sent out an email to sign up for one of these sessions on Monday, April 21.
Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. 2nd grade music performance in the big gym. Students should arrive at 6:15 p.m. and go directly to their classroom. Families should go to the gym.
6th Grade Continuation - May 21 at 6:00 p.m. at our secondary school - 11251 Reed Way.

The Cub Den/Church - We are finalizing documentation for our proposal to the City of Westminster for rezoning of the property. Lots of work is happening here and we hope to have this all completed in the next few weeks. We are working on planning for the expansion of the existing playground, updating the sprinkler system, adding grass seed and top dressing, and then adding fencing. We will let you know when this starts as there will be no access to that area once the work begins. At that time, we will open up the Prek playground on the north east side, for kids and families to play in after school.
Enrollment for next year - If your student will not be returning next year and you have not notified the office, please do so as soon as possible. Should this decision happen during the summer, please call the office and leave a message (303-438-1011).

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is Next Week! - We still have a few spots open - will you help show our appreciation to our amazing JA Teachers & Staff by signing up to bring a variety of items to round out meals and snacks for the week? School Supplies for 2025-2026 School Year - It's time to pre-order your students' school supplies for next year! We have partnered with a company that will put together all of the supplies that your student's teacher has requested. Supplies will be delivered to the school in August and taken to your student's classroom before the first day of school. PTO Annual Meeting - The PTO Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 6:30 PM in the Commons. We will elect officers, update our bylaws and most importantly - celebrate our volunteers! We hope you will make plans to join us. Child care is provided.
Report Your Volunteer Hours - Have you attended a PTO meeting (or two), helped plan or cook for a class-sponsored breakfast, assisted in planning a classroom holiday party or otherwise volunteered outside of school hours? If so, please be sure to report any time spent volunteering for Jefferson Academy Elementary during non-school hours using this simple Volunteer Hours Reporting Form. Time contributed during school hours is recorded in the RAPTOR system at school - this form is only for non-school time hours. Your volunteer time matters!
