Grandparents' Day - Kindergarten students will participate in this musical event on Friday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the big gym.  Kindergarten students (only) will be dismissed after the program or need to be picked up by 11:30 a.m. Students in grades 1st - 6th grade have a full day of school.  Parents, grandparents and special guests are welcome to attend. Due to capacity older siblings will not be pulled out of class to attend this event. Should you choose to take older siblings out of school after the event, you must go to the office to have them paged out of class.  Parking is available in the east and west parking lot, and the church lot. Do not park on 99th Ave. Entry into the building will be through either the South A19 doors or the main entry.  Since we are still in session with all other grade levels, we will not be able to open the east entry.  If you or someone in your group needs handicap seating, please call Shelly Cohen at 720-728-6162.

CMAS testing - CMAS (Colorado Measure of Academy Success) Grades 3rd - 6th grade will participate in these assessment tests April 7 - April 14. 5th grade will test through April 17. Please avoid taking your student out during their testing time. Students that are ill should stay home and will make up the test(s) when they return.

New building- As many of you are aware, we have purchased the church building next door and will begin some of our projects soon.  On the exterior of the building, we will be working to improve the playground area in order for it to come up to code for PreK.  Extending the play area, adding additional pea gravel, installing fencing, a new sprinkler system as well as sod are the major projects coming.  If you have skills in this area and would like to volunteer, we welcome your help.  Please contact Mr. Feddema.  These projects will be started mid to late April and go through the summer.  Our expected occupancy for PreK and JagCare is August 12.

Breakfast issues- Parents, please remind your student, if they are getting breakfast, they must sit in the cafeteria and consume their meal there.  We have experienced more and more students try to put their breakfast in their bags or pockets and head directly to class.  They need to stay in the cafeteria during this time.

PTO Leadership Positions for 2025-26 - As we start to look ahead to the 2025-26 school year, we must begin to make plans for transitioning our PTO leadership to new hands. Although all PTO Board positions are up for election each year, we will have several board vacancies that need to be filled for 2025-26. These positions include President, Vice President, Secretary and Parent-At-Large (1-2 positions). Detailed position descriptions can be found in the JAPTO Bylaws

If you're interested in serving, we would ask you to please fill out this simple form (which serves as your "Letter of Intent"). Although not a full commitment, this does give the board an idea of where we stand as we look forward to elections in May. Board Letter of Intent Form

A Letter of Intent is required to serve in a PTO Board position for the coming year. Letters are due on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

There are other opportunities to serve our school on one of our PTO committees. We are looking for new leads/co-leads for several committees. Please check out the form for more information and fill it out if you are interested. Committee Lead Interest Form  All Committee Lead positions remain open until filled.

Please keep in mind that without the volunteer efforts of our school's parents, guardians and care-givers, our students lose out on so many fun opportunities! PTO cannot function without leaders, and without our PTO as the umbrella organization, we lose every one of the committees that is organized under PTO. This includes Book Fair, Fun Run, Mileage Club, Hospitality, Yearbook, Movie Nights, Timehop and so many more!
